Klaus Brucksch is a medical scientist by qualification and has worked for many years in a research institute for oncology in Germany (Click here). When he migrated to Australia in the mid 1980s he conducted his own business as a stained glass artist, specializing in ecclesiastical designs and restorations (Click here).
In the mid 1990s Klaus focused his interest on gemstones and mineralogical specimens. He participated in a gemological course and gained experience by visiting gem mines and markets in Mae Sai, Mae Sod and Chantaburi in Thailand, Houayxai in Laos and Mogok in Myanmar (Burma), studying literally thousands of gems in rough and faceted form.
Klaus is traveling several months a year to Myanmar (former Burma) and Europe. He is visiting gem mines and markets in search for very selective, individual, high quality gemstones and minerals. One of the most exciting places is Mogok in a government restricted area with its enormous variety and outstanding quality of mineralogical specimens.
Over the last years he has made many friends he can trust and rely upon. All specimens are handpicked from the miners or their brokers.
Previously Klaus was a seller on John Veevaert's http://mineral-auctions.com/ and is still an active seller on Mark Wrigley's E-Rocks.
Now he is living and conducting his business in Kuranda (near Cairns) in Far North Queensland, Australia.
