Johachidolite is a very rare borate mineral which was first analized by two Japanese, Iwase and Saito, in 1942. It is named after the Johachido district in North Korea. The chemical composition was not clear till 1972 but then confirmed in 1977 as a new mineral with the composition of CaAlB3O7. Johachidolite appears often in association with Hackmanite.
